Il Sereno

Completed in 2016, Il Sereno has been designed by award-winning Patricia Urquiola, and brings modern luxury to Lake Como. This all-suite, waterfront hotel has 30 spacious rooms, ranging from 40 square metres to over 200 for the Penthouse.

All rooms feature floor to ceiling windows with spectacular uninterrupted views over the lake. Patricia Urquiola has also designed a bespoke canopy that is able to cover all of the pool decking area to accommodate parties and weddings. Despite its relatively small size, the hotel comes fully equipped with a fitness centre and full service spa. The in-house restaurant ‘Berton Al Lago’ has recently been awarded with a Michelin Star. 

Grand Hotel Tremezzo

Built in 1910, Grand Hotel Tremezzo is one of the oldest luxury hotels on Lake Como. It is surrounded by two acres of manicured, private gardens.

The entire property has recently been renovated and features 90 rooms, luxury suites, spa, two swimming pools (including one floating on the lake), a private beach and solarium, tennis courts, and a fitness club. Wedding receptions can be held on the T Bar terrace with supreme lake views. Inside the grand Sala Regina, receptions can be held until midnight with sumptuous cuisine accompanied with live music. Not to be missed is the very cool Escale wine bar. 

Hotel Villa D’Este

Perhaps one of the world’s most established luxury hotels. Villa d’Este has historically been a playground to royals, sultans and the upper classes. It has evolved into an opulent, luxurious getaway, and is a fairytale wedding venue.

Well known for its exquisite gardens which provide an unparalleled backdrop for wedding photography & videography. The interior decor is continuously renovated but still retains the all important old-world charm. Villa D’Este offers 152 rooms, each slightly different but equally elegant. They are furnished with antiques and vintage artefacts that take you back to the belle époque. Terraces, large windows, and stone balconies highlight awe-inspiring lake vistas. For hotel guests, relaxation can be had in the well appointed spa, wellness and fitness centres. Golf lovers have the choice of not one, but two world class courses. Villa Gastel

This hidden gem in Cernobbio is a part of Villa Erba’s estate, although it sits within its own private gardens.

Still owned by the original family, the villa is used regularly throughout the year as their secluded holiday home. This super exclusive property retains all of its historical features and charm. The interior salons are all connected to one another along the garden facing side of the Villa and provide a stunning backdrop for a reception or cocktail party. In addition to the beautiful indoor spaces, the villa has a breathtaking internal courtyard, ideal for dining al fresco and dancing into the night. The courtyard can also be covered with a transparent canopy, guaranteeing usability under any circumstances.

Villa Sola Cabiati

An exquisitely proportioned baroque villa located in the heart of Tremezzina, an area considered to be the ‘Riviera’ of Lake Como.

Villa Sola has striking lake views and grand dining salons decorated with ornate stucco and frescos. It is fit for a monarch. The traditional Italian style garden is a perfect setting for picturesque cocktail party and dinner. The villa can also accommodate 12 guests in luxurious suites. 

Villa Pliniana

Villa Pliniana is an exclusive Palazzo on a totally secluded and private shore of Lake Como.

It is now under the management of the new Il Sereno hotel, located less than a mile away. The villa is without a doubt on par with the luxurious feel you would expect from Sereno Hotels. Built in 1573, it has over the years hosted many artists, scientists and monarchs such as Leonardo da Vinci, Bellini, Volta, Napoleon and Queen Margherita of Savoy, to name just a few… Today, the historically significant villa has been gracefully restored to its former splendour, with the addition of a spa and helipad.

Villa Balbiano

This privately owned luxury villa sits lakeside in the area of Tremezzina. The villa has recently undergone a total refurbishment during which all of the original frescos on the walls and ceilings were meticulously restored.
